According to the experiment, the shallow cage is reduced in the amount of exercise of the chicken, the consumption of the feed is reduced, and the deep cage is overdose due to the competition of the chicken. Therefore, the feed consumption of the shallow cage can be reduced by 2.8% on average.
The low rate of broken eggs is mainly due to shortening the residence time of the eggs in the cage and reducing the chance of the eggs staying at the bottom of the cage.
